Cycle 7 Campaigns

We have a busy cycle with 4 huge campaigns present throughout our network! 

Guinness introduced a new product and encouraged pub goers to try out their new lager they've called Hop House 13. Here's a quick video showcasing the campaign and what one of our publicans had to say about it.

Carlsberg invited our pub goers to join the greats and play at Anfield. For the chance to win, visit Carlsberg's Facebook page and tell them what your "Probably the best football moment in the world!" moment is. 

Zaconey reminded you that a Zaconey and Cola is always a refreshing choice. 

The positioning of our i-sites throughout the venue are great for influencing that first drink that most pub goers continue to drink for an average of 4.98 times.

Cycle 6 Campaigns

This cycle we have a new film called Get Hard posted throughout our i-site network.

When millionaire hedge fund manager James (Will Ferrell) is nailed for fraud and bound for a stretch in San Quentin, the judge gives him 30 days to get his affairs in order. Desperate, he turns to Darnell (Kevin Hart) to prep him for a life behind bars. But despite James’ one-percenter assumptions, Darnell is a hard-working small business owner who has never received a parking ticket, let alone been to prison. 

Together, the two men do whatever it takes for James to “get hard” and, in the process, discover how wrong they were about a lot of things – including each other.

Cycle 20 Campaigns

Heineken Quality and Bank of Ireland retained their influential positions throughout in our in-pub network for another cycle. BOI focused on appealing to the student's want of discounts and special offers.

Heineken continued to distinguish itself at point of sale as a high quality beer choice for consumers. Last but not least we introduced Ryanair to our network. With 18% of pub goers flying bi-monthly compared to 8% of the regular population and taking into account an average pub goers demographic profile, the choice to target the 18-39 year olds in our network was a natural one. Flights from Dublin to Barcelona leave twice a day and you can get a seat for as low at €19.99!

Non-Stop Comedy at The International Bar

Did you know one of our venues, The International Bar, also doubles as a comedy venue all week long? It's hosted some very well known comedians and helped launch many of their careers. Famous acts such as John Bishop, Kevin Bridges, Ardal O'Hanlon, and even Zack Galifianakis started their careers here. 

Every Monday, Comedy Improv invites the audience to guide the show with their suggestions (Think, 'Whose Line is it Anyways?') and includes some names you might recognise from the telly. The show has traveled around the world and has had 2 seasons as a radio show on RTE. 

The Comedy Cellar has some top class comedians that have been practicing and testing their material at this venue since the 80s. Great place to catch some big names and grab a pint with friends during the week.

From Thursday to Sunday, The International Comedy Club offers one or two shows per evening. Call in to see new up and coming comedians or a seasoned professionals from the International comedy stage. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online here for the late show on Saturdays.

We did some interesting work / research on a brand we had featured in our i-site posters within a Dublin City Centre venue and what impact our i-sites may have had on sales. The results were impressive!

Here are the details:

The campaign was in place for 6 weeks in 2 sites in one venue. We used sales for that venue for the previous 6 weeks without the campaign in the i-sites as a comparison. 

The alcohol brand's sales increased 50.75 % during the time period when i-sites were used.

Furthermore, we noticed the brand's market share within the bar increased by 2.6% against all other brands. 

The ultimate ROI from the brand's campaign with i-sites was 900%.

Something Different From 37 Dawson Street

One of the venues in our i-site network-- 37 Dawson Street-- offered their customers a very different type of entertainment... 

 
 

The incredibly talented Barry Jazz Finnegan performed live drawing for the crowds that were at 37 Dawson Street last Thursday evening. 

He draws with charcoal unbelievably realistic images of famous figures, movie characters, musicians and probably anything else you can think of. The lifelike qualities of the drawings are a must see, it's hard to believe they are done by hand with a little charcoal!

Busy Weekend at DTwo

DTwo has been voted one of the best spots in Dublin to watch the World Cup matches. Their social media reveals just how busy they were all weekend with two World Cup matches. They have 20 screens throughout the venue, including enormous ones inside and outside, complimentary food and free entry-- what more could you want??

New Research

The study was conducted recently by the Health Research Board in Ireland to analyse Irish Drinking Habits. Almost 6000 participants aged 18-75 from across the country took part in the survey in 2013. 

In the weeks prior to the survey, respondents stated that 43% of standard drinks were consumed at home, 42% were consumed in a pub/bar and the remaining 10% at a restaurant or hotel, with another 5% being consumed at sport matches, holidays, etc... The survey stated that almost 60% of alcohol was consumed in on-trade facilities, while just over 40% was consumed off-trade.  

With a grand total of €50.6 million being spent per week on alcohol here in Ireland, we can conservatively estimate that almost €22 million spent in pubs a week on alcohol. 

When it comes to preferred drinking locations by Ireland's younger generations, the survey discovered that 72.3% of young people preferred to drink in a pub or nightclub environment, with the most popular days being weekends (Friday to Sunday). 

Overall, our i-site network provides brands the opportunity to be at the core of a vibrant and prospering on-trade environment. We are at the heart of where the young prefer to socialise and where multi-millions are spent weekly.
